May and June have been keeping Flathead Rivers Alliance staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners busy with additional trainings, programs, events, and celebrations. There have been numerous requests pertaining to three forks of the Flathead River trip planning and current river conditions. Information, especially during highwater this month is now online through a resource hub with quick links to river alerts, conditions, forecasting, gear, trip planning tips, outfitters, and additional resources (click button below or HERE). Please use extreme caution near rivers, avoid low water crossings, respect closures, and keep pets on leash and off rivers while these conditions remain. The rivers are likely to rise again with new rain and snow in forecast. Large woody debris is still moving in river channels and causing both visible and submerged hazards. Don’t risk it! River experts and professionals are better trained for these conditions. Always wear a PFD/Life Jacket. Commercial guided float trips have temporarily increased age limits and modified float trips during this time.
