June was one for the records keeping Flathead Rivers Alliance staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners busy with additional trainings, programs, events, and tracking flood conditions on the Flathead Wild & Scenic River. As the weather becomes warmer, river levels start to drop, and conditions improve, it is time to plan for river adventures on the Flathead Wild & Scenic River. Thanks to Flathead Rivers Alliance's partnership with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Flathead National Forest, Flathead Electric Cooperative's Roundup for Safety, Glacier National Park, and Wheelie Creative we have launched the first part of our river-focused recreate responsibly animation series. Click below to learn more about what to you need to know before you go on the river, on river safety, and leave no trace tips specific to the Flathead Wild & Scenic River. Note: River levels have dropped significantly, but please continue to use extreme caution near and on rivers, avoid low water crossings, and respect closures. There are hydraulic features on the river and hazards that may be difficult to navigate at current river levels. Always wear a PFD/Life Jacket!
