WILD & SCENIC RIVER RESOURCES AHEAD OF COMPREHENSIVE RIVER MANAGEMENT PLAN

Flathead Rivers Alliance successfully launched inaugural Flathead Wild and Scenic River Webinar Speaker Series last week! Over 100 attendees joined live from east coast to west coast to learn about The Wild and Scenic River that Connects Us. We are thankful for the great conversations around a river system we all care so much about and your interest in being an active participant during the public portion of the river management plan process that only happens every fifteen to twenty years.

A recording of the webinar has been uploaded and available for viewing. It can be easily accessed HERE along with additional resources related to that webinar. If you haven’t already registered for the second webinar in this series click on the WEBINAR REGISTRATION button below. If you don't plan on attending virtually, you can register to receive a video recording and submit your questions via email. We will do our best to answer those questions during next webinar as well as relevant questions we received during first webinar.

River Ambassador Program

Do you love connecting with people and spending time at the river? Join our River Ambassador team and serve as liaisons with the public at popular river access sites along the Three Forks of the Flathead Wild and Scenic River.

River Monitoring Survey 123 Program

If you enjoy floating the river and have a desire to be an active stakeholder while doing so, this volunteer opportunity is for you. Stakeholders are trained to conduct river recreation use monitoring using a Survey 123 mobile data collection app. This tool allows trained volunteers to collect river user, wildlife, and invasive species data as they float the river. Data collected will enhance data sets that are collected by agency partner river patrols.
