WILD & SCENIC RIVER RESOURCES AVAILABLE AHEAD OF COMPREHENSIVE RIVER MANAGEMENT PLAN DRAFT

Flathead Rivers Alliance has wrapped it’s inaugural two-part Flathead Wild and Scenic River Webinar Speaker Series last week! Both webinars had attendees join live from east coast to west coast. As residents of the Flathead Valley, it has been wonderful to see so many people from beyond our region understand that this river system is theirs to steward too. We are thankful for the great conversations around a river system we all care so much about and your interest in being an active participant during the public portion of the river management plan process that only happens every fifteen to twenty years.

A recording of the CRMP 101- How does management of Wild & Scenic Rivers work? webinar has been uploaded and is available for viewing. It can be easily accessed HERE along with additional resources related to that webinar and the previous The Wild & Scenic River that Connects Us webinar. We received several questions related to management of Wild & Scenic Rivers and water quality, so will do our best to update our FAQ page with more related information to reflect what was shared in webinar and additional information we retrieve related to that topic of inquiry.

It includes a FAQ section answering the top questions we’ve received from River Ambassador shifts, events and stakeholder calls and emails. There are a number of ways to give your time including joining our volunteer teams on the North, Middle and South Forks of the Flathead River. RSVP if you’re interested in volunteer program training(s).
