Flathead Rivers Alliance Joins West Glacier Weed Rodeo

Flathead Rivers Alliance joined volunteers for annual Weed Rodeo in an effort to remove invasive species from the Middle Fork of the Flathead River corridor, along the southwestern boundary of Glacier National Park. As a newly formed organization, Flathead Rivers Alliance was thankful for the opportunity to join this long running event in 2021. A nearly 20 year float and pull event, the Weed Rodeo has proven that when community members are provided an opportunity to be active stewards they are more than willing to show up. A local weed expert joined the float assisting with noxious weed identification and provided information on their impact to surrounding native plants and wildlife.
