50th Anniversary Flathead Wild & Scenic River Fest

Save the Date: Flathead Wild & Scenic River Fest — 50th Anniversary Celebration

Join Flathead Rivers Alliance, American Rivers, and friends on July 10, 2026, at Marantette Park in Columbia Falls for a family-friendly community celebration honoring 50 years of the Flathead River’s Wild & Scenic designation.

The three forks of the Flathead River helped inspire the National Wild & Scenic Rivers Act of 1968 and in 1976 they earned their place in the National Wild & Scenic River System—a legacy born from these rivers and worth celebrating together.

This special anniversary River Fest will feature river-inspired fun for all ages, opportunities to connect with the water and each other, and a chance to celebrate the rivers that launched a national conservation movement and continue to shape life in the Flathead. More details coming soon. Save the date and plan to celebrate the river with us!
