Save the Date: Flathead Wild & Scenic River Fest — 50th Anniversary Celebration
Join Flathead Rivers Alliance, American Rivers, and friends July 10, 2026 for an evening of live music, local food and beer, hands-on activities, and family fun as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 219-mile Flathead River’s Wild & Scenic River designation. This is a FREE community event!
The three forks of the Flathead River helped inspire the National Wild & Scenic Rivers Act of 1968 and in 1976 they earned their place in the National Wild & Scenic River System—a legacy born from these rivers and worth celebrating together.
This special anniversary River Fest will feature river-inspired fun for all ages, opportunities to connect with the water and each other, and a chance to celebrate the rivers that launched a national conservation movement and continue to shape life in the Flathead.
