Flathead Rivers Alliance & Sacred Waters Brewing Launch Recycling Program, Collaboration Beer & Call for Anniversary Art

Flathead Rivers Alliance (FRA) is excited to expand its partnership with Sacred Waters Brewing Company through a multi-faceted initiative that combines community action, river stewardship, and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Flathead Wild & Scenic River designation in 2026.

Recycle Your Cans – Help Save Our Rivers

As part of FRA’s “Other Ways to Give” initiative, an aluminum-can recycling trailer has been installed behind Sacred Waters Brewing (back parking lot, behind the backyard).

  • Open 24/7, so you can drop off aluminum cans anytime.

  • Large door allows tipping full recycling bins directly into the trailer.

  • Ryan Ellis, Recycling Coordinator, collects aluminum weekly, and a portion of proceeds supports FRA’s river-protection programs.

This trailer shows that Sacred Waters Brewing is more than a brewery—it is a community steward supporting the everyday health of the Flathead Basin.

*Sacred Waters Brewing also serves as a grab-and-go station for reusable Flathead Waters Cleanup bags. Visitors can pick up cleanup bags in front of brewery, making it easy for individuals, families, and groups to participate in local cleanups of rivers, lakes, and wetlands.

Limited Edition Collaboration Beer: South Fork Sessions IPA

FRA and Sacred Waters also launched the South Fork Sessions IPA to directly support river conservation:

  • $0.10 from every pint sold goes to FRA’s work protecting rivers.

  • Debuted September 12, 2025, available while supplies last.

Every sip helps preserve Montana’s rivers for future generations.

Call for Artists – 50th Anniversary Special Edition Beer (2026)

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Flathead Wild & Scenic River, FRA and Sacred Waters are creating a limited-edition beer label designed by a local artist in collaboration with Highline Designs.

  • Submission Period: October 1 – November 30, 2025

  • Theme: Landscapes, wildlife, spirit, and cultural significance of the Flathead Wild & Scenic River

  • Recognition: Prize package, public attribution, and inclusion in the beer rollout

  • Winner Announcement: Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Flathead Rivers Alliance Pint Night

  • Launch: Special edition beer and label debut in 2026
