Flathead Waters Cleanup is a Flathead Basin wide event bringing together agencies, organizations, and community members in an all-day volunteer event to clean-up trash and celebrate the region’s incredible waterways.
The 2026 Flathead Waters Cleanup will take place on Saturday, August 8th – mark your calendars! The cleanup itself will occur between 9AM and 3PM. After-Party & Prize Giveaway - 4 PM to 8 PM. After the cleanup, join us for food, drinks, and chances to win amazing prizes!

Volunteers can sign us as individuals, or in teams, small groups, or families to clean up trash in any river, lake, creek, or pond in the region. When you register, volunteers can select your favorite area to clean up through an interactive mapping feature on the event website. Prizes from event sponsors will be awarded to the most unique item, submit the best photo, and other prize drawings. A full list of prizes and sponsors can be found on the event website. To be eligible for prizes, all volunteers must register prior to the event by visiting tinyurl.com/flatheadcleanup.
